Residential Car Park and Footpath for Property Developers in Twyford
Slatter Estates Surfacing was approached by property developers managing a building previously used by a variety of small companies at a business park in Twyford to transform the car park and footpaths for their future residents. The property developers applied to officially change the use of the building from commercial to residential, transforming it from once busy offices at the entrance to the industrial estate, to stylish new self-contained apartments.
The gated entrance to the industrial estate has had approval for relocation, meaning that the residents of Spitfire House will have a private entrance to their apartments, and will not need access to the industrial estate to access their homes.
Having forged a strong relationship with Alex Ellis with previous works at their family Estate, Alex contacted Head of Slatter Estates Surfaces, Simon Bradbury, to provide a quotation for the refurbishment, extension and resurfacing of their car park and footpaths surrounding the building.
Interestingly, the 16 apartments within the block are all going to be rented on short-term lets to larger corporations and businesses needing to house their staff for a fixed period of time, including a variety of film studios who require a base for their cast and crew throughout production. The car parks and pathways needed to be durable, and withstanding of a lot of traffic due to constant use all year round. The scope of works including the construction of a new entrance road, the installation of new drainage system, the surfacing of the new car park, including line markings, and a pedestrian private footpath to the building’s entrance in red tarmac, with a perimeter path around the building and storage areas.
Slatter Estates Surfaces are pleased to continue building on the relationship with the Ellis family and their property development company, and are looking forward to delivering more exceptional surfaces for property developers.
